Breakfast is Served!

Our young hens have just started laying and one of them is taking her job very seriously. Each morning for the last three days, she has flown out of the chicken yard and come to the back door to deliver her daily egg. The first morning, I had the back door open for fresh air. I heard a strange noise and turned to see her walking right in the back door, on a mission. She tried a few places in the laundry area, but they just weren't right. I finally put her back in the henhouse. A while later I noticed she was out again. That's when we discovered the tiny egg in the toy barn that sits by the back door. The next morning, I wasn't aware that she'd come in the house until I saw her in our laundry hamper. She left another tiny egg in there for us. This morning, she was kicked out as soon as she came in because I had to leave for work. I came home to find she'd left the egg in the little barn again. I'm sure this will stop once she becomes to big to fly over the fence. For now, I'm going to enjoy the daily egg delivery!

It's got to be Vivi don't you think? Wild, crazy and doing things her own special way.
